BLM to hold meeting for ISDRA proposed price hikes

The Bureau of Land Management El Centro Field Office’s Desert Advisory Council will be holding a meeting regarding the BLM’s proposed business for the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area Saturday December 1,2012.

Everyone is invited to attend the 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. meeting. The  meeting will be held at the BLM office at 1661 S. 4th St, El Centro to provide public comments. Currently the fees for the Imperial Sand Dunes cost $25 for weekly off site pass, and $90 for an off site season pass. The business plan is proposing to raise user and vendor fees for the 2013-2014 season, the fees will be raised to $40 weekly off site permit and $180 season off site permit.

The fee program is being updated in order to address projected lack of funding  for the upcoming season.
