Join a naturalist on a guided drive on the Kofa Wildlife Refuge and hike to Horse Tanks.
On the 2.8 mile drive out to the water source and a walk, you’ll learn about the cultural and natural history of this stunning area. The Kofa Wildlife Refuge is the home of many historical sites and you will have the opportunity to visit a few of them. Sections of the road are rough, vehicles with four-wheel drive are required.
The drive and hike will last until early afternoon, so please bring your lunch and plenty of water.
The group will meet at Marker 42 on King Valley Road (just past the entrance kiosk).
Please call the Kofa Wildlife Refuge for more information or to sign-up as space is limited.
