Blow Sand Hill, Ocotillo Wells

Blow Sand Hill is located in Ocotillo Wells near the ranger station.  The legendary sand dune hill in Ocotillo Wells was formed by massive sand storms. Wind blowing sand has acted as an abrasive agent, and  creating after time a huge dune on the side of this hill. The sand dune is continually fed from the winds that sweep across the California desert, rebuilding the dune continually   One of the most popular parts of Ocotillo Wells OHV Park.  Blow Sand Hill is often illuminated by a circle of headlights often on weekends nights.  On some holiday weekends hundreds sometimes thousands of people will be at the hill at one. Traffic on the hill can become sometimes dangerous so please use caution. Be cautious of other riders, and people who drink and drive.
