Teenager loses his life on a dirtbike accident.

It really sad when we hear of people passing away, It seems to be a bigger shock and loss when it is a young man.

This past weekend Austin Vaughn lost his life while riding his dirtbike.  Police say 18-year-old Austin Vaughn was killed on Friday  as he was riding his dirt bike in a rural area of Yuma County.  Vaughn was riding the bike at the Avenue 40-E and County Third Street intersection, when he collided with a Ford truck, driven by 64-year-old Luis Lopez.

Mr. Lopez and three other passengers inside the truck were not injured

Although we do not know any other details on the accident we would like to offer  a few tips while riding in the desert.

#1. Always wear your safety gear.

#2. Never ride alone

#3 . Never drink or be under the influence of alcohol

#4. Always be aware of where you are riding and other riders.

#5. If you are too far from camp take a cellphone with you.
