As I have mentioned before there are more rules and regulations than there use to be at the Imperial Sand Dunes Riding Area. There is also way more help. Because there are more law enforcement there are also more people who help in case of an emergency. It is always very heart wrenching when we hear about people who have severe accidents and people who die because of misuse of the equipment, or especially when alcohol is involved. . I looked all over the BLM website and I honestly could not find that information. It actually took me longer to put this together than I thought it would. If you ever need the information here it is. Here is a list of numbers you should have with you in case of an emergency, It helps when you have a GPS, now-a-days you can purchase an app that can guide you always try to keep a phone on you. Especially when going solo or on a long ride. Try to stay away from riding during the hottest times of day especially if you don’t carry any water with you.
If there is an emergency situations please call 911.
